Climate Shelter Urbanization Project in Sant Jordi De Cercs Phase 1

The scope of action includes a plot of 6,995.22 m² located in Sant Jordi de Cercs, next to the municipal sports area and the football field. Currently, the plot has a tennis court, a padel court and a space for technical services with buried gas tanks. The rest of the surface is mainly used as a parking area for vehicles linked to the football pitch. The existing pavement is mostly sand and the vegetation is limited to four mulberry trees located next to the tennis court. This configuration entails a lack of vegetation and shaded areas, as well as the need to improve accessibility, organize routes and make sports, parking and recreational uses compatible. The global project envisages the comprehensive transformation of the area into a climate refuge through the following actions: - Urbanization and accessibility: adaptation of the plot and related road spaces, improvement of sidewalks, reorganization of accesses and creation of accessible itineraries that connect the different areas of the space. - Renaturalization and green areas: planting of trees and shrubby and herbaceous vegetation. - Improvement of the pavements: execution of draining pavements and actions aimed at increasing the permeability of the soil. - Improvement of sports equipment: construction of a pump-track circuit and a calisthenics area, maintaining the existing tennis and padel courts. - Parking arrangement and sustainable mobility - Public lighting installations and urban furniture.
