Gen. 6 Radio Upgrades

Award Notice Gen. 6 Radio Upgrades
Naval Air Systems Command, V-22 Joint Program Office/ PMA-275, awarded delivery order N0001926F0022 under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001922G0002 to the Bell Boeing Joint Project Office for the integration, documentation, test and evaluation, and non-recurring engineering(NRE) to incorporate the ARC-210 Generation 6 radio into all MV-22B and CV-22B aircraft radio positions. The MV Gen 6 radios will be upgraded with position #2 and the CV Gen 6 radios will be upgraded with positions #1 through #4. This effort will also incorporate the Remote Contro Unit (RCU)-B into the MV-22B and CV-22B configurations. This contract was awarded on a sole source basis to the Bell Boeing Joint Program Office in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) (formerly Title 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1)). Bell Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source that possesses the requisite knowledge and expertise required to perform this effort.
