Tenders are invited for Design, supply and installation of solar (events centre)
Cook shire council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and completion of solar system at the cooktown events centre as described in more detail in part 5 – scope.
location: 3 may street, cooktown
system size: approximately 130kw (contractor to determine size suitability)
important requirement:
• the solar system at the community events centre must be installed as a carpark-mounted solar shade structure.
• roof-mounted systems will not be accepted.
• the contractor is responsible for:
o full structural design of the carpark shade structure
o cyclone-rated design suitable for far north queensland
o integration with existing carpark layout
o drainage and stormwater considerations
o electrical integration with existing switchboards
this is a fully turnkey project. council expects the successful contractor to manage all aspects required to deliver an operational system.
works are to be completed before 30 june 2027.
