Description & Project Overview
Tenders are invited for Expression of interest – supply of imported fill material
Livingstone shire council is seeking expressions of interest (eoi) from landowners, developers, quarry operators, material suppliers, earthmoving contractors and other interested parties for the potential supply and/or delivery of suitable imported fill material for infrastructure projects within the hidden valley precinct.
councils anticipated requirements relate to the gateway business and industry park stages 4 and 5, relocated council depot and east west connector stage 1, with an indicative combined requirement of approximately 90,000–100,000 m³. proposals may be for all or part of the requirement.
the procurement is proposed as a two-stage process. stage 1 (this eoi) seeks information on potential fill sources, material suitability, available volumes, location, indicative pricing, haulage and delivery arrangements, timing and proposed commercial terms. no binding pricing or contractual commitment is required at this stage.
following evaluation, suitable participants may be recommended for inclusion on a tender shortlist, subject to council resolution. stage 2 may then invite shortlisted participants to submit detailed tenders, enabling council to assess confirmed quantities, material suitability, delivery arrangements, final pricing, commercial terms and overall value for money.
the eoi will assist council in identifying the most practical and cost-effective supply options, including opportunities to reduce haulage and double handling and mutually beneficial arrangements with development sites generating surplus suitable material.
