: Consulting for the tendering of a private sector electrification model for two secondary cities in Chad based on hybrid energy systems
The contracting authority supports the structuring of a private sector cofinanced electrification model for two selected secondary cities in the nbms corridor in southern Chad, as well as the preparation and conduct of the selection process for operators responsible for its implementation. In this capacity, it works closely with the relevant implementing bodies, including ADERM and LA, in concert with the base team at Njamena and Palazzo.The development model shall be based on decentralised hybrid energy solutions, based mainly on photovoltaic installations, battery storage systems and, where appropriate, additional thermal generation units, as well as on associated network infrastructures, including processing plants, distribution networks, smart meters and load management devices. These solutions shall enable the supply of electricity to households, small and medium-sized enterprises, as also to public and social infrastructures under conditions of reliability, affordability and climate resilience.
