Contract Description

Follow-up notice - Cutting machine Follow-up notice - Cutting machine
HUS Group (hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Authority or Procurement Unit) requests tenders for the total procurement of an automatic paraffin block sectioning, spreading/mounting, and drying system (hereinafter referred to as the sectioning automation). The total procurement includes the delivery and commissioning project of the sectioning automation, maintenance and support services, as well as device-specific consumables and accessories related to the offered sectioning automation under the conditions described in more detail in the Request for Tenders and its appendices. The object of the procurement is described in more detail in the appendices of the Request for Tenders. The sectioning automation prints sample and identification data on slides and is integrable with the existing LIS/LIMS system (MYLAB, MY+). The system automates the entire process: orientation of the paraffin block, sectioning to an adjustable thickness, transfer of the section, mounting on the slide, stretching, and drying. Ensuring standard conditions, e.g., with internal cooling of the device and adjustable stretching and drying temperatures. The device must include features enhancing safety and quality, e.g., automatic blade change, pressure monitoring, and suction of paraffin waste. The LIS/LIMS integration of the sectioning automation is implemented into the My+ system via HUSs data network (LAN). The 2D code of the paraffin blocks is read, and the corresponding (CSV) instruction file is retrieved from the My+ system, based on which the section thickness, number of sections, slide type, and print content are defined. The device automatically prints the desired fields and a 2D code on the slide with an accuracy such that it is readable by digital scanners. The device must enable the mounting of at least one section on a slide. Additionally, it is desirable that two sections or corresponding samples can be mounted on the same slide simultaneously. - The procurement agreement concerning the sectioning automation enters into force when both Parties have signed the Agreement. The Agreement is valid until the Parties have fulfilled their contractual obligations. - The contract period for device-specific supplies begins when both Parties have signed the Agreement. The Agreement is valid indefinitely. A Party may terminate the indefinitely valid Agreement in writing, observing a notice period of six (6) months. - The validity of the Maintenance Agreement begins when the Agreement is signed and continues year by year unless either Party terminates the Agreement. The notice period is three (3) months on the part of the Contracting Authority and six (6) months on the part of the Supplier, unless either Party terminates the Agreement in accordance with the Contract Terms in Appendix 1. The Tenderer shall price the products and services included in the total service in the Product Appendix of the Request for Tenders. During the contract period, products belonging to the product groups that are the subject of the Agreement but not itemised in the Product Appendix may also be procured up to the estimated value of the procurement (see Procurement Agreement). The object of the procurement and the requirements concerning it are described in detail in the Request for Tenders and its appendices.
