Among other issues, land use (agriculture including cropping pattern and adaptation of new varieties of cultivars that are emerging through research, aquaculture, housing, urbanization, etc), management of drainage congestion through control over ground level, sedimentation balance inside and outside the polder, and salinity in rivers and groundwater, are the key parameters in coming to these concepts, taking climate change into account.
