Internal identifier: UNI-31-2026-0012 Title: Mars simulation chambers Description: Procurement of Mars simulation chambers Type of order: Supplies Description: For the project "Mars Laboratory - The Bremnian Approach to Life under Resource Scarcity" two large Mars simulation chambers are required in which the conditions on Mars are to be simulated. This project provides the infrastructure in which a production chain will later be set up that will produce a usable spare wheel for a Mars rover from Martian regolith and the Martian atmosphere. The production hall forms an environment in which people and robots can simulate production on Mars, and the climatic conditions are simulated in the two vacuum chambers. These include an atmosphere with a pressure of 6 to 12 mbar and a composition of 96% carbon dioxide as well as nitrogen and argon, as well as temperatures of -80°C to 30°C in a 12-hour cycle.
