Description & Project Overview
The federal government is pursuing the goal of systematically and effectively strengthening affordable housing, urban and regional development and innovations in building construction. The BMWSB relies on scientific expertise to conceptually prepare political decisions and implement priorities for action. The BMWSB relies on comprehensive studies and long-term research projects as well as on the expertise of the BBSR in order to fundamentally address policy-relevant research topics in the areas of housing, urban development and construction. On the other hand, there is also a need for short-term scientific expertise in order to be able to act flexibly and evidence-based in current social debates. Through this framework agreement, such short-term economic questions of the BMWSB and its departmental research institution, the Federal Institute for Building, Urban and Spatial Research (BBSR), are to be examined ad hoc by scientists. The aim of the framework agreement is the flexible, needs-oriented retrieval of short, narrowly defined scientific ad hoc or short expert reports that can usually be produced within a few weeks. The framework agreement serves to improve the scientifically based basis for political decisions, legislative processes and future funding and research priorities.
