Contract for renting space in data center: The University of Copenhagen (KU) lacks its own, suitable areas for the location of servers, and the university must therefore enter into a contract for renting premises for this purpose. It is important for KU that the premises are in close proximity to the location where KUs IT department is primarily located, so that there is easy access to the premises. At the same time, KU has a desire and need for redundancy at a certain distance from KU, so that backup servers are placed at a certain distance from primary servers and are protected, e.g. in the event of a terrorist attack. UC makes a number of requirements for the premises in which UCs servers are to be located, including not least in relation to electricity supply, cooling and internet supply. Furthermore, KU requires a guaranteed uptime in relation to the supply of both electricity, refrigeration and internet. KU also sets a number of requirements for access control and general operation of the building in which the premises for the placement of servers are located, particularly for reasons of security.
