To access the new district, Sundgauallee is to be relocated and will in future serve as the main access road for the new residents. Traffic access takes place via a parking garage and a network of traffic-calmed residential streets. The overarching cycle path network, access for pedestrians and the associated drainage facilities are also to be planned. The concept envisages a decentralized above-ground drainage and infiltration of the resulting rainwater as well as planning and implementing the relocation of an existing watercourse, a so-called Runz.
