Description & Project Overview
Construction work for the Schönefeld complex in 2027/28 consisting of the new ESTW-A Schönefeld (BFHS), new track 5, track and switch renewal. Lot 1: Superstructure & underground cable engineering Lot 2: Equipment technology ESTW & track 5 Lot 3: OLA The ESTW Schönefeld is a prerequisite for the ETCS equipment in the Erkner-Seddin corridor. However, the ETCS equipment is NOT part of this construction project. Track 5 (740m usable length, 4 new switches) will be reactivated and put into operation together with the ESTW. At the same time, 8 switches and around 2.5km of track will be replaced at Schönefeld station.
