Description & Project Overview
This project is part of Infrabel's strategic plan to eliminate level crossings. It is also part of the overall vision of mobility of both the municipality of Dendermonde and Infrabel. It was decided to remove the existing level crossing No. 65 on the L53 railway line and replace it with a tunnel intended for agricultural traffic at Paalstraat and Bosstraat. In addition to the underground passage under the railway line, the project also provides, in the same structure, for the underground passage of a parallel road. This is today used as an agricultural road and will constitute the future route of the F44 cycle highway. Deze opdracht kadert en la strategic plan van Infrabel voor het afschaffen van overwegen. This project has not even been seen in the future of mobility in Dendermonde and Infrabel. Er werd beslist om de bestaande overweg 65 op spoorlijn L53 af te schaffen en te vervangen door een tunnel voor landbouwverkeer ter hoogte van de Paalstraat en de Bosstraat. Het project voorziet naast de ondertunneling van de spoorweg, ook en hetzelfde kunstwerk, de ondertunneling van een langsweg. Deze wordt vandaag als landbouwweg gebruikt vormt het toekomstig tracer van de fietssnelweg F44.
